Quote: “To the ego, the present moment hardly exists. Only past and future are considered important.”
For any of us who engage in a regular meditation practice, we have a front row seat to knowing how true this is. As we sit in meditation our minds rehash past events and prepare for future events. This preparation and rehashing his seemingly never-ending.
When we can be just in the present, it is amazing. A great Tibetan master once told me that “meditation is what happens in the gaps between your thoughts.” My immediate response was “what gaps?”
As we increasingly engage in live a wisdom inspired life, the possibility of being present gradually and sometimes dramatically increases. When this does our intuitive inner knowing, otherwise known as wisdom, inspires and enriches our moment to moment choices in our journey.
